I got a lot of great feedback from folks who liked my post on updating old furniture. It’s a great solution if you’ve inherited a piece of furniture, but it is just not in keeping with your modern style. I also find fabulous vintage furniture in local thrift shops and even on the side of the road! Most often these old pieces were made to last. So it doesn’t make sense to get rid of old furniture, only to run out and buy something that either looks vintage and distressed, or has antique lines covered in bright paint.
Chalk paint comes in tons of colors ranging from antique hues to bright and bold. You can even use it on cabinets. Barely mentioned in this video is the wax that comes in the kit that really gives chalk paint a look all its own.
